Housing  : Dahab Hotel (26 Mahmoud Bassiouni)

It is the only roof's hotel in Cairo. It seeks to reproduce the environment of Dahab. A bar makes it possible to make meetings. 10 £E for a room in dormitory, 20 £E for simple and 30 £E for a double.

Caution  : There is a kind of travel agency. These people will try to sell their products to you. They are more expensive than if you only manage, the problem is that the personnel rail when you don't buy his services and makes you feel it.

Excursion Dashur, Memphis and Saqquara.

The least expensive is to take a taxi with 7 and to share the expenses. (90 £E for the taxi are 15 £E per anybody with the tip).

For the entry on the sites  : the least expensive student, the expensive tourist with camera.

Dashur  : 5£E, 10£E, 15£E

Memphis Museum  : 7£E, 14£E, 19£E

Saquarra  : 10£E, 20£E (no camera tax)

Khan Al-Khalili

That is the souks's place. The souks for tourists are to be fled. To admire the mosques which are in the district. There is a fortnight quite as splendid the ones as the others.

Restaurant  : Felfela takeaway (Talaat Harb)

It is a kind of Oriental's Fast food. Very consistent dishes and not expensive. It is the best we found.

Excursion in Gisa

To go there  : Take the bus in front of the Egyptian museum for Gisa (25 Piastres). There is not less expensive. It is the same price to return.

The entry of the site is 20 £E and 40 £E to enter in the large pyramid. 30 £E to visit the solar boat. For the solar boat rising the eyes, it is visible outside through the pane.

Excursion in the Egyptian museum

The entry starts with an excavation. they even found the scissors which was at the bottom of my bag in my first-aid kit. don't discuss with security, tourists were already killed. To avoid going there with a camera. There is nothing to photograph and we must pay. For the video camera it is like a rip-off.

Entry  : 20 £E. Camera 10 £E.
