20/10/00 Alep Housing : Hotel Al-Jawaher , bab Al-Faraj Good hotel without luxury. . The roof cost 150 £S, the simple room cost 250 £S. The roof superb, is well arranged, place to sleep, small decorated fountain. I think that's better than a room. Excursion : The citadel : Entry 300 £S and 15£S for students. Splendid sight on all the city. Not a lot of explanation take a guide (book).
21/10/00 St Siméon Excursion in St Siméon : In microbus until Daret Azze (10 £S) then discussion with the driver until St Siméon (75 £S or 100 £S without discussion) . Entry 300 £S and 15 £S for students. Possible return in stop.
Excursion in the Souk : Superb covered souk. not missing, do not hesitate to haggle over. Caution : impossible to find an Internet coffee in Alep and even in all Syria. Except in Damas but certain sites are censured.
